After Mom got out of the ER, with the shingles diagnosis, we headed to the store to fill her prescription and pick up groceries for us for the next 4 days. It was kinda a mess because the ER doc didn't actually SIGN the script...so Mom had to go back to the ER to get a valid script. So ridiculous...but it didn't take too long, so it was fine.
After shopping and getting Mom some drugs, we headed over to Holly & Wade's house for lunch. Sue & JC were also headed this way from Boise, ID and we were going to have lunch with them as well (although they didn't get there in time & we had to leave). Mom's aunt (Uncle Jim's ex-wife), Annetta, and her 2 daughters came by also. They live in SLC, but were vacationing in Jackson this week...what a coincidence!!! I had never met any of them, so it was cool to see them.
Anyways, Wade was still under the weather from his skiing accident. His knee is shot, and it was still hard for him to get around. It was cool seeing his office though where he has lots of his ski pics & magazine covers on the walls. I definitely envy his line of work...extreme skiing (sports in general) PLUS photography...my dream. Maybe in another life....
Holly made a great lunch for us and we got to sit outside and admire their AMAZING view. It is ridiculous there. I don't know that I could handle the winters, but the summers....I would move there in a heartbeat...no questions asked. It is one of the prettiest places I have ever seen. The weather, the mountains, the trails, meadows, trees, animals, wildlife, people...nothing I saw here would make me NOT want to instantly move here.....except pictures of their winters :( I can't do snow, all the time like that. Such a bummer!!
We stayed for a couple hours, and then had to go so we could secure our campsites in Yellowstone. Such a fun afternoon with them....
Holly, Sue and JC were planning to join us camping tomorrow, so we would see them again soon!!
