So, on Monday night I went to dinner with a friend, and came home to a kitchen full of water. UGH! Vince was watching TV and started hearing a drip-drop coming from the kitchen. Got up to check it out, and noticed that water was coming thru the light fixtures!!! So glad he was home & able to get the unit upstairs turned off fairly quickly. This happened once before. The A/C condensation coils from the upstairs unit froze and started leaking. No one has lived up there for a couple years so the A/C had basically been inactive. Once someone turned it on for the first time, it created some issues.
So Vince jumped into action with the insurance company, and by Thursday, we had a whole new kitchen roof & lighting. We had been wanting to replace our Tuscan fixtures with some recessed lighting anyways, so I guess it all worked out. The leak & issues basically paid for it all. Turned out amazing...and it was literally done in like 2 days! Shocking!
Decided we need to paint the kitchen and probably just go for a full remodel eventually. I WANT new cabinets. Like REALLY want them. So, hopefully we can get to that next...along with new flooring in the kitchen & front bath. Soon....
