Friday morning we woke up to bad news. Mom was not feeling great yesterday, and ended up having a VERY rough night. She looked terrible when we went to bed, and it didn't get any better. She felt she might have shingles based on the symptoms. It was sooooo bad that she wanted to go to the ER. Which is HUGE, because Mom never, and I mean NEVER, goes to the doctor, EVER. (Wonder where we all get it from?!) So, Brent went & dropped her & Dad off at the ER, and came back to meet the rest of us at the hotel. We decided to just walk around the downtown area, because it is so cute there. Thought about grabbing some breakfast somewhere but since we didn't know how long they would be, we passed on the food, and just grabbed some Starbucks. We checked out a few of the local shops, and enjoyed the amazing morning! I have very vivid memories of walking around this square when we were here before. And I remember loving these antler arches. I thought they were pretty amazing as a kid! Still did today!
Fortunately, Mom got thru the ER super quick so we didn't have too much time to walk around, but got to see enough to know we definitely cannot wait to come back someday!
