Ohhhhh what an interesting start to the Bahrain Air Show!! Vince, Mark, Kevin (Wamore's ACA rep) and I all set out to the show. We didn't have a parking permit but were told we would get it at the show. So we head out, with no idea where to park or where to go. We end up parking in a distinguished guest parking area, with no permit but convince the guards to let us through anyways. On our way into the show, Mark takes a picture of someone else's permit and says he is going to print out a copy to tape to the car for tomorrow (which he did, and it worked). Total violation of security protocol here!! Oh well, typical Americans.
So we head into the show and setup the Wamore booth. I kinda just walk around, talk to people, and take pics of everyone. I don't really "work" at this show since Mark is there, but spend my time enjoying the culture, seeing what other people's military and technology is like, and generally just exploring. Vince would take breaks and we would venture out a bit as well. The US Pavilion had a few guest speakers - the US Astronaut and Commander of the Apollo 15 shuttle - Colonel Al Worden. It was awesome hearing him speak! Also Lt General Charles Hooper and the US Ambassador to Bahrain - Justin Siberell. It was a long day, but a LOT of fun!
