10.18.2015: Our First Bulgogi Dinner

After we got all checked into our hotel, and refreshed we wanted to hit the streets for some dinner & exploration.  We asked our "navigator" (that is what they call their concierge and I LOVE it...perfectly fitting!) for a good recommendation close. He pointed us north, so we set out on our way.  The streets here are amazing.  There are the main streets that have all the high end businesses on...then the back & side streets with the truly hole-in-the-wall shops and restaurants.  You can tell these are the streets the locals hang out in.  Which is where you will find the best food, of course.

We walked past quite a few restaurants....mostly seafood ones.  A lot of them had tanks of fish out in the front with the live fish in them.  Pretty amazing....but we opted to not try one of these, and stick to trying to find our Bulgogi restaurant.

With all the names being in symbols & no letter or words, we could not find the place we were looking for.  We walked back & forth past it 3 times before asking someone (who of course didn't speak English).  We eventually found it.  And am SO GLAD we did!  It was a super cute place, with great food!  We weren't too sure how to order though. It was a grill it yourself kinda place.  You pick your meats based on your marinade or seasoning.  Then you pick some sides...and then they also just bring some other random sides.   All very unique.  But VERY good.  We loved cooking our own meats.  It was even awesome how the came and lit the grill for us too.

We took our time eating and enjoying the ambiance of the restaurant.  It was late though, and we were tired, so couldn't wait to get back and get to bed!!  Long day & week ahead of us so we really needed to shut it down and get some rest.
