On Saturday morning, Vince woke up early and headed down to the Newport pier to get our favorite croissant sandwiches at the donut shop. Hit the Starbucks on the way home, and we were set for breakfast! We just hung out at the house in the morning trying to decide how we wanted to spend the day. We opted for a walk downtown (HB) and on the pier. We were hoping to find a farmers market or something, but no such luck. So we just walked the pier, got some ice cream at Rubys, and watched the surfers. There was a kids surfing competition going on that we caught a piece of, but the waves weren't huge, so there was a lot of lag time in between.
For lunch we walked down Main to Avila's. We had been to another of their locations before and it was good Mexican food, so figured we would try it. Plus, we were hot and sweaty, and needed to take a break somewhere that had cold drinks! :)
