07.04.2010: Freedom Festival at Point Loma

The Freedom Festival is VERY cool! First of all, it is on base, so super secure and safe for the kids. It was also in the parking lot of where we had our wedding reception....meaning in the parking lot of our hotel too! Haha...yes, front, row, no driving, no port-a-potties for us! Oh, and did I mention we had our own food & booze too!? Although since it was on base, everything was SUPER cheap anyways....so even if we wanted treats, we could!

They had a bunch of kids rides, big jumpy things, rock climbing wall, swings, sumo-wrestling thing....all very kid friendly and kid fun! We were able to let the kids run & play in there while we wandered the rest of the festival. They had a huge stage setup with some decent cover bands playing. And we had our setup area that Vince put together for us. Another group had gone to the store and stocked up on tons of food! It was great!! We hung out here for a few hours until the fireworks started. This was our first cool day of the weekend...and although we really enjoyed the cool weather (coming from AZ), wished it was a tab warmer...but still no complaints!!
