07.02.2010: A Day at the Beach

Friday afternoon, a group of us went down to Mission Beach. The kids could not wait to get to the beach and run in the waves. So, we all packed up our weekend Family Vacation bags, and headed out. Luckily we got there early enough to get parking! We all hit the sand...laid on the beach while the kids played in the water. They ran in, fell in the waves, then ran out, ran in, fell in the waves, ran out....repeat 100x times....and loved every minute!!

After a while, the adults decided it was time for some day drinking. The Wave House there in Mission has the best of both worlds. Bars, food, wave pool to watch the surfers showing off for the crowd, sand pit for the kids to play horseshoes, and sand pit in general... For the adults, we sat & drank delish margaritas, ate yummy food, watch the surfers and the kids...and just people watched in general. GREAT day to be at the beach!! It was cool, relaxing...and everything we needed!!!
