SO, we heard there was another crazy storm coming in today...but that didn't slow us down! We were out & about just like any other day. Earlier Vince did a little investigating and found some cool little inlets on the other side of the lake....Scott did some investigating too and found another inlet. So, Vince and I went exploring today. We found some cool little "secret" places today...and then it started POURING on us!! So, with lightening striking all around us, we raced our way back to camp. Not like I've never been stuck by a little lightening before.
Tangent...one time when we were camping here, years ago, we were out water skiing in the middle of a storm...and I happened to be in the lake at the time being drug behind the boat...lightening striking all around us....but the water was like glass still, so we were taking advantage of the moment. I was sitting in the water waiting to be pulled up, and a bolt struck the water not too far from us (at least it looked like it was right by us). I didn't feel anything, but I guess my hair stood straight up (not all of it, but all the wispy pieces). Dad didn't say anything but pulled the boat around & said "get in, we better get back". I guess my hair standing up was a little freaky. He told me when we got back to shore. Haha! So, since I have had a little water charge, I guess I am not nearly afraid as much as I prob should be. Vince was ready to go back....so we did.
