So, one of my other favorite parts of the trip is when we are all settled in, the boat is secure, the "stuff" is unloaded, the kids are playing in the water, and the drinks start flowing. This is the first true sense of relaxation we can all experience! Speaking of drinks...I think I have forgotten to mention that this is the first year we have gone "green". When I say "green", I mean that we have gotten very environmentally conscience with our beverage choices. We brought a KEG. Yes, that is right, a KEG. Brent bought a kegerator just for the trip....and Kenny & Kelsea stopped to pick up the keg at the store in the morning. Vince hooked it up while everyone was loading up the boat, to ensure cold beer as soon as possible. So, yes, this was a first, and we are officially "green". Haha!!
Back to the trip itself. The 3 Scott's were in charge of lunch today. Entry #1 in the meal competition. Scott Durbin planned it out....Bahn Mi sandwiches....which are amazing...when you have bread. Yup, that's right, I (ME) forgot to buy their bread at the store on our grocery run. ME. FORGOT. Argh! I felt soooooo bad!!! I offered up all the other bread there....but none of it really worked right. So some people went carb-frre with Bahn Mi salads (which by the way were amazing!)...and others had theirs on Hawaiian slider rolls, and some on regular wheat bread. What a way to sabotage a great meal! Oh well...turned out ok.
After we had food in our stomach, we all went back to enjoying the beach!

Kenny & Kelsea were in charge of dinner. Yup, CHICKEN! Haha! Ken gets a hard time every year for making chicken....but hey, it works!! :)
