07.29.2018: Knee Surgery Recovery!

When we were on the houseboat trip, Thelma had knee surgery.  After surgery, she went to a rehab facility to recover for a few weeks.  Vince, Drake and I headed over today to go visit her again and see how she was doing.  It is a really nice place with really nice people here!  She has made friends with everyone in the place and has her own little click she hangs out with! It is pretty funny!  She is doing great though...her knee is recovering well and she is up walking around more than she should be! She said not to tell the docs she was doing so well though because she wasn't ready to leave all her friends and go home! Haha!

07.27.2018: Sonoita & Patagonia Exploring

Vince and I headed down to Sonoita for the weekend this weekend.  Mom, Dad, Vince and I decided to go exploring during the day over to Patagonia Lake. There were some storms coming in so we didn't spend too long there, but we did get to walk around a bit, go over this really cool bridge, spend some money in the gift shop, and take some pics.  It isn't a huge lake, but there were some people tubing out there.

Dad had been smoking a brisket all day and it smelled amazing when we got back! We ate before Kenny went off to work and had a great dinner! Mom, Dad, Kelsea, Vince and I ended up sitting on the patio watching the sunset and drinking wine.  We stayed out there well into the evening because the moon was incredible!  We had a little visitor on the patio tonight too - a frog!

07.21.2018: Christopher Cross Concert

Tonight Vince and I went to go see Christopher Cross in concert at the Talking Stick resort.  It was in their Showroom, which was super tiny!  We had 2nd row seats and were right in front of CC!  It was awesome!  We had such a great time - he sang ALL of our favorites! I can't think of any songs he didn't sing that we love.  He was a little more personable than usual - maybe he prefers the smaller venues.

After the concert, we hung out in the casino for a while.  There was a band playing in one of the lounges so we went over and danced for a while.  You'd never know that Vince had a bad hip, and that I just threw my back out a few days ago!  Crazy what a couple glasses of champagne can do! So much fun

If you don't wear your Fender guitar shirt to the concert, did you really even go?!

07.19.2018: Cruising and Donuts

Today we decided to venture out to Mesa for an adventure.  Well, kinda!  Andrew and Brianna wanted to go volunteer at Cambridge for the day and visit with their old teachers and friends.  Alisa, Avery, Bear and I just went along for the ride.  We stopped over a Bashas and got the littles some donuts.  It was so cute watching Bear try to eat his giant donut!  He gave up half way thru and full on passed out with it on his lap.  He was covered in chocolate from head to toe - literally!

Look at that little tongue!

After nap, after cleanup...Masha Bear!

07.18.2018: Back to Normal

We are back home and everyone is back in their routines.  Kids are on their electronics, Cooper is back from the puppy-sitter and asleep, Brent & Vince are at work....and Alisa and I are wishing for another vacation! :)

07.17.2018: Pre-Drive Hash House

Never got a group shot at breakfast, but Barrett eating fruit loops is just as good! :)

We had our usual over-indulgence of food for breakfast at the Hash House in the Rio before we left.  So-Much-Food!!!  Time to get back on the road, back home, and on a diet!!

We headed back in a caravan to Phoenix. Somewhere in the middle of the desert, the boat cover shredded.  So we pulled over, took it off, and took everything out of the back of the boat (that gets put in there for transport).  Not a big deal, not earth shattering, but definitely something to take a pic of!   We all made it back to our homes safely!
