After pics, Vince and I had dinner duty! We were doing gourmet burgers and fries. While we were starting to cook, a huge storm came rolling through. It actually blew out the grill so we couldn't grill! It was funny, because when the wind picked up, the kids all got their kites out to go fly them...then the lightening started...and that was the end of that!! Everyone tried to secure the goods all over the beach & boat...and it was pretty crazy wind & lightening and rain...and a GORGEOUS rainbow! Seems like we get one of these most years now...and I love it!
After all that calmed down, we were able to start the grill again and get dinner going. It felt so late by now.....so we needed some scotch to go along with it all. There are a few scotch drinkers in the group, so it got divided up pretty well....and went quick! It was good though, and hit the spot for sure! :)
After dinner, Scott and Chris put on an amazing fireworks show! Scott is the king of the fireworks. Seriously who needs 4th of July when you have Scott on the houseboat trip?! They are commercial quality and ridiculous! Every year the kids cannot wait for this show. I personally can't wait for the year he gets them programmed to music...hint hint! ;)
After ALL that, some of the group didn't want the party to end! We went upstairs and played charades. It was sooooo fun and so funny!!! I don't know how we guessed anything because we were laughing so hard at each other!
