After we got the morning rituals out of the way....coffee, breakfast, changing everyone to bathing suits (yup, its not like the camping days where we just actually slept in our suits), and sunscreen up....its time for water fun! The Doo's got some workouts in this morning and the boat was waiting for the first round of tubers (yes, the little kids, of course).
Mom, of course, had all the games planned out. This afternoon started with a cornhole tourney. Yes, cornhole! Let's start off by saying that this was later in the afternoon, so you KNOW we were well into happy hour. I am saying this in pure defense of my cornhole performance today. I am usually super competitive and pretty good at this stupid game. Today however, I got partnered with Lex....who is even more competitive than me. And for some reason I completely sucked!! I literally couldn't even hit the board! It was like an alien possessed me. I don't know what the problem was...I was horrendous though! Lex was less than pleased at being outed in the first round. I, however, was on to taking more pics and making more drinks. However, as you can tell, I am still disturbed by my performance and definitely need a rematch in more favorable conditions at some point!
Next on the list of activities was a group volleyball game. Luckily we had the perfect water levels for a water volleyball game! It was awesome! We had a BLAST playing!! Vince was having so much fun, he threw his wedding ring in the middle of the lake!! Haha...no really, it flew off his hand as he was serving. Gone. So, his original wedding ring is buried somewhere in Lake Mead. Nice. Better his than mine though.
After group volleyball, we continued happy hour back on the boat, as well as some slide action! I have some great videos of this, but few pics. There were a few "group slides" too which was pretty fun watching!
Ken & Kelsea started dinner....which was an amazing mix of chili verde, chili Colorado, grilled chicken, beans & rice....soooooo good!! They really brought it this year!!!
"Keg in the Closet"...er, shower....er, bathroom!! This was the spare keg...the Bud Light!! |
Dad tapping into that Bud Light all weekend!! Don't mind the toilet. |
