09.06.2013: The Best of Albuquerque...

...according to me!

We stayed at Kirkland AFB...which turned out to be amazing.  Brand new facilities....nice place...great, quiet base!  The whole base is pretty new...mostly nuclear, and intel...

Well, we woke up and hit one of the recommended hot spots in the city for breakfast.  We drove up to Santa Fe for our meeting, then back down for afternoon fun.  Knowing me, I had to hit the "old town" area, which also consisted of an old catholic church in the city square. So, had to take a ton of pics!!

On our way back from Santa Fe, we noticed a sign along the way that said "GRUET WINERY".  WHAT??!!??  One of our fav cheap champ makers?!  Oh, we had to stop to check it out.  They have a gorgeous tasting room and production center.  The actual vineyards are all outside of town....but the wine-making goes on right here.  We hung out and got to taste many of our favs.  They actually surprised us with some of their wine.  We bought a few bottles, and were on our way....
