The annual tubing competition was about to begin. If you thought you were sore and tired this morning, just wait until this afternoon! For this reason, I have stopped competing in this silly competition. Save my bruises, cuts and concussions for other water sports.
First out the gate...Brent vs Vince. Vince doesn't really LOVE tubing, but is always up for some competition...esp with my brothers. It is hard to complete with 30-something years of experience at this though...Brent won.
Brent's next victim....Scott. While Scott has just as much experience as Brent, and has no problem using limbs and tube to beat Brent down, the wake (or Mom's driving) got the best of him and he went flying off. It was a very entertaining round though!!
Next up, the little ones who were anxiously waiting their turn in the boat. Andrew vs Drake first. Both of these 2 can hold on and tube forever!! And never seemingly get tired either. Mom drives them about the same as the big kids these days. They had a good run, but Andrew held on and came out the victor.
The girls were next....and while neither one got thrown from the tube, they both seemed like they were ready to be tossed around like the boys are. Avery is a natural daredevil and Brianna really broke out this year and tried some new things!! She was a tough one! Both winners....
We headed back in to pick up Kenny from the campsite....to take on Brent for the championship. Since Brent didn't have much time to rest, and Kenny was fresh, we let Andrew do a couple runs with him to wear him down. Only to make it more fair! Andrew could have definitely been in the adult competition. He held his own against Kenny, and Mom was not easy on them! He was getting tossed around like a ragdoll. He had a good grip though, and hung in there!! Eventually, he got tossed, and Ken was ready for Brent.
This was a good matchup too...these 2 fight like crazy on the tubes. Well, actually at first they were sitting there talking. Getting whipped around and catching up on life. It was pretty funny....like they were oblivious to what they were doing and just back there chatting. After a few rough whips, they got into competition mode. The limbs started flying, so did the tubes. Brent's feet/legs won out and knocked Ken off. (Must be those Durbin Ankles!)
