Night one meal assignment is Vince and I. We did a throwback to our original meal of Cajun chicken, sausage, red beans & rice, and Caesar salad. Yup, going waaay back for this one! Wanted to keep it easy, but good, and we hardly ever make it anymore. So, in between everything else going on for night one, we managed to fit in some food too! Haha, who we kidding, our days revolve around eating & drinking!! We plan our events around our meals :)
After dinner we literally just hung out and relaxed and listened to music and chatted. It was funny because EVERYONE wanted to sleep outside this trip. Usually Vince & I are always on the top of the boat, with a few others. Mom, Dad, K&K, and Scott are always on the beach...Brent & his fam are always inside. This year the kids wanted to sleep upstairs with us...so we convinced everyone to come up. Well, K&K stayed on the beach with Scott. Everyone else was up top though. We had enough sleeping stuff for everyone up there & it worked out great. Think the kids really enjoyed sleeping under the stars. They were all super chatty, then all of a sudden, went silent. So much fun! It was funny looking for shooting stars & Avery looking for the stars she named on the Yellowstone trip (Bright, Super Bright, and Window -- yes, don't ask!). The weather was unbelievably perfect...pretty rare for us!! I actually got cold thru the night....
