04.13.2014: Dinner and a Casino

Christina & Lex went back home straight from Qupe, and Vince and I headed back to Solvang.  We were there another night before we headed up the coast to Napa tomorrow.  We decided to stick close to the hotel for dinner and just walk somewhere into town.  Stopped at a little Dutch looking restaurant...one of the few that were even open!  It was just so-so...nothing exciting.  After dinner we decided to walk around the area to soothe our bellies.  I had been reading about these little Dutch dessert things that people here sell and are known for.  Found them at the Red Viking Restaurant and HAD to get some for later.  They are called ǽbleskivers and are a Danish pastry.  OMG...so good!!! So, we were still full but got some to-go for the room later.  YUM!!

After we walked around town, we remembered that there is a little casino not far from here.  I remember because I went there when I went to UCSB once.  It was super nice, but small, but fun.  So we decided to head back & get our car and go check it out.  It was only about 10mins from downtown Solvang, and was very nice!  Didn't win anything but was just fun to go and hang out.
