Our 2nd annual visit to the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa Wild & Crazy Taco Night!! We were actually planning to be in CA this week anyways for work, then about 2 weeks before, we realized that this was the Taco Night week! We swore we would never miss this event due to last year's being so amazing!!
This year was a tad warmer, but still pretty chilly! It had been sooooo warm all week, then today it was freezing (well, ok...in the high 60's...which is freezing for the beach). We showed up and Christina and I were basically in the same shirt. Oh well! Haha... Lex had to work right up until the event started so we were a little late showing up to our VIP access! We still were there plenty early to get our fill of drinks and tacos before the crowds showed up.

Yes, those black things are gourmet imported crickets. Yum. No thanks....but Lex actually gave it a try and said it wasn't too bad. Still, crickets....
There was all kinds of food magic there...little cups with layers of yumminess in them!
Christina had to take a "catch-up" break. She just disappeared and we found her over in the corner catching up on her tacos!
They were selling these cute little doll things...and their name was embroidered on the back: Karissa! There is an activate & shut down button on them too. Crazy. Don't these people know that there is no shutting down Karissa!! Thank goodness!
We made the event website again...our pic was featured on their website & facebook pages. We might be in some magazines, but who knows?! We were also video-taped, but hope that one doesn't make the local tv channels, haha!
