Saturday started with a day of water sports, mostly for the kids. Andrew and Drake both tried to water ski. They both kinda got up...but don't know that I would call it "skiing" yet! Drake tried to get up on the wakeboard...not yet. So he kneeboarded a little. Lex tried the wakeboard and got up. All the kids, and some of the big kids tubed. It was mostly a relaxing in the water and enjoying the sun kinda day. Weather was absolutely perfect too!
One of the activities that Mom had planned was a beer tasting competition for the guys. She bought entry shirts for them all...which were pretty cool. Alisa and Brianna were the waitresses, and got to distribute the beer to the boys. Nana was pretty funny when it came to a few people's "favorites" that she knew. Some of the beers were pretty easy to identify, but there were a few stumpers there too. Brent ended up taking the medal for getting the most correct. It was stiff competition though, as we had a beach of real beer drinkers out there!
Avery provided on-ship entertainment during the competition with her dancing and eating of goldfish. She is such a cutie....and LOVES to dance!!!! She even "went low" a few times :)
Vince and I were the cooks of the night during Round 2 of the cooking competition. Christina and Lex were in charge of the Happy Hour appetizers (er....Christina was anyways). We made Vince's famous ribs, beans & rice, and salad. Vince even bottled his own barbeque sauce for the event. We had 2 varieties available....an "original" version, and a "hot" version. I think we put in a tough showing tonight....the talk was flowing!
Wild children...waiting for food....and trying to tackle Avery
Avery needed her Vince fix. She just came over and wanted him to hold her...and just clung on to him for a while until she was satisfied.
Um, who knows.....I wish I had something prolific to say about this one, but I don't think it needs much saying.....just Bill being crazy uncle Bill!
