07.13.2012: The Launch, The Rain, The Spot

Well, this is a first.....our first houseboat load & lauch in the rain!!  It was kinda funny running all the stuff to the boat & try to not get wet and get everything out of the rain.  We came here to get in the water & get wet....and everything we brought is basically meant to get wet!  Haha! Oh well....we got everything in the boats & settled...and got on our way.  We didn't have to wait to long this year....no mechanical problems....no delays for odd reasons.  We got underway pretty smoothly.....into the clouds, rough waters & sprinkles. Our entire ride out it rained on us and we LOVED it.  While we longed for the sun & warmth and beginning of our lovely Lake Mead tan (er burn)...it was a nice little change to have some clouds and rain.  The scouts went out ahead of us in the boat and SeaDoos and found a great spot to secure our vessels.  Brent and Scott alternated the captain duties on the way out and did a great job navigating the waves.  The rest of us relaxed, organized the kitchen & bedrooms...and even had some bloody marys to knock off the tequila hangovers some of us were nursing.  **Personal Note/Reminder for next year:  Bring more Bloody Mary mix!!!!!**

 Tequila Pain...the adults anyways.
