12.26.2016: Mission Inn Dinner & Festival of Lights

Mom & Dad made reservations for us to all go to the Mission Inn tonight for a special holiday dinner together and be able to walk around and see the Festival of Lights there.  It is a pretty amazing experience and is nationally ranked as one of the best light displays in the country.  (Not bad for little ole' Riverside!!)  So, we got all dolled up and caravanned downtown!  I can't speak for the other vehicle, but our car ride was exceptionally entertaining!  We were carpool karaoke-ing all the way there with Christmas music galore!   So much fun!!

Dinner was nice - not the greatest of food, but was fun to all do dinner out together!  Afterwards, we took the long way walk back to the car so we could take in all the lights.  It was ridiculously crowded though so wasn't easy maneuvering our way back...but we managed. We got to see enough of the lights - and it was COLD so we walked fast!

On the way home, wedrove down good old Brentwood to see if they light display competition was still going on.  It was with the neighbors, but just not the same without the Riedmans extravagant presentation they would have every year.  We drove down the official Candy Cane Lane, and hit (not literally - just drove by) some of the more lit up streets.  It was fun and the kids liked seeing all the houses done up.
