12.20.2016: Monopoly and Starbucks

Today, Alisa and Bear took the big kids over to their friends houses and spent the day out in Mesa.  The munchkin (Avery) and I hung out here at the house.  We had to go pick up Vince at the airport later this afternoon so we spent some time playing games before going to get him.  We put together another puzzle, then started a game of Monopoly.  Yes, this girl is a Monopoly WHIZ.  She loves it - and it (usually) loves her!  We played for hours - literally.  As you know, Monopoly can last for days if you wanted it to.  We played for a couple hours - both filling the board with houses and hotels.  At one point, she was running low on funds because she had bought so many houses.  I told her, looks like she didn't have much money left, and it looked like I was winning.  She said back "Nope, I'm winning because I'm property rich, and that is more rich that having money".  Hahahaha!!!  OK, you win.  New Avery phrase of the day - property rich.

Anyways we headed off to pick up Vince.  The kids all know that when we go get him from the airport, we always go in, and we wait at Starbucks, which is right outside the security gate.  So, they LOVE to go do an airport run with me! :)  So, we tried to get there a little early so we could get our treats and sit and people watch.  People watching with Avery is amazing.  She likes to point out every "odd" person she can find.  And, as you know, the airport is usually full of them!  It was fun, and as always with this one, entertaining!

The absolute sweetest!!!

You know - just a friendly little game of Monopoly (as long as you play her way!!)

Waiting in the airport for Vince!  Sbucks and Muffins.  It pays to stay and hang out with Aunt Cassy!

Monopoly, Sbucks, Muffins....what better way to spend an afternoon?!
