After a bit of work in the morning, we hit the road to Vegas to meet Mom & Dad, and Ken & Kelsea. Little weekend getaway with some of the family. No reason in particular for this trip (unusual), besides that we just needed a Vegas weekend!!
On the way, we stopped at our usual Chevron for water & bathrooms. Passing by these gems made me do a double-take. What in the world?!?! Flip flops with grass.....maybe for those who don't have real grass to walk on. Still, pretty creepy. First thing I thought of was "Alisa would LOVE these"! Not. She didn't appreciate the picture I sent her haha!
Back on the road, right before the Hoover Dam we got slowed up in massive traffic. It was crazy....we NEVER get traffic to or from Vegas! Eventually, we could see that we were all being held up by a convoy of large black suburbans. They were blocking traffic in both lanes, going fairly slow. Looked like there were about 5 or 6 of them. Once we got to the dam, they turned off & traffic let up. However we drove like this for about an hr! It was extremely frustrating!!! Decided it was either Obama & the Secret Service....or the Transformers returning to their home in the dam. Could totally go either way.
