09.27.2015: Lunar Eclipse & the Blood Moon

Tonight there was a lunar eclipse and also a blood moon.  One of those maybe once in a lifetime sightings!  Vince and I were cooking and hanging out and thought we had some time...when a neighbor walked by and said I can't believe you aren't watching the moon!!  We were thinking eastern time!  So we ran out....with our wine and my camera...and watched the show!  Soooooo very cool.  Loved it!!

09.23.2015: Getting Angry for Some Crab

Alan was leaving for London tomorrow so we all went out to dinner together.  Alisa and I have been wanting to try The Angry Crab for a while now, so thought this was the perfect night for it!  It was ...

Super good and very unique!  We had so much fun & eating VERY messy!  Well, some of us!  Brent & the kids stuck to the chicken fingers & fries :) 

 

09.21.2015: The Ride Home to AZ

Mike, Olivia and Alan all flew to CA for the services for Grandma Katie and drove back to AZ with Alisa, the kids and I.  It was actually a really fun trip back!  They picked me up from Riverside in the morning, and we started our trek.  We made about 100 stops along the way, for various reasons....bathroom breaks, gas, snacks...a little bit of everything.  It was a ton of fun though! I love roadtrips.

 

At one point Andrew had to go to the bathroom...and decided he wasn't going to make it to the next stop. So, we pulled over to the side of the road & he took care of business right there.

 

Once we got back into town, we stopped at Rudy's BBQ for some early dinner.  Yum, yum!  It has been a while since I've had some good Rudy's :)

09.20.2015: Grandma Katie's Funeral

After the game yesterday, I hitched a ride to CA with Brent & Alisa.  On Thurs, Alisa's Grandma passed away in San Clemente.  Everyone flew out to CA for the weekend, so they planned a memorial service for her on Sunday afternoon.  It was held on a hillside park overlooking the ocean.  A beautiful location for a beautiful person!  It was a simple service, but very personal and all her family was there.  Afterwards, we all headed over to Uncle Shawn's house for a reception.  Mom, Dad and I didn't stay too long....we had to drop off Brent at the airport on the way home.  And it was Sunday and they had to be up early for work tomorrow.  It was such a nice afternoon.  The whole thing made me miss living here.
