04.21.2012: The Pat Tillman Run

Today was the Pat Tillman run....4.2 mile run that ends on the 42 yard line of the ASU stadium football field.  Pretty fun & exciting...and crowded!!  There were tons of thousands of people that ran today...including Brent, Alisa, Mom & Dad, Gina, and Chris.  I don't have any pics of the actual run because I didn't do it.  I opted instead to watch the kiddos while everyone else ran it!  Somehow I feel like I lucked out on this deal :)  Well, Vince and I did!

I went and picked the kids up in the morning down in Tempe on their way over to the run.  They came back to the house & relaxed, watched some Sat am toons, ate a few breakfasts, and waited for the rest to show up!  The run didn't actually take too long...they all headed back around 10am or so.  Seemed pretty organized and efficient.

When everyone got back, Vince and I had prepped a nice sandwich lunch for everyone and some even swam.  Vince and I ended up taking off to Vegas for the night with Mom & Dad.  They had tickets to a country (Rascal Flatts & Brad Paisley) concert there so went up for the night & we joined them.  Gina, Bill and Chris stayed here in AZ with Brent & Alisa for the rest of the weekend.  

Next year, I think I will join the runners...just need to prep for it for a few weeks beforehand!!  Although, I REALLY did enjoy watching the kiddos too!!  :)

 Getting brave moving from the ottoman to the couch....big steps for her!! She is moving around pretty well, but needs (she thinks she does anyways) an assist by holding onto something.  She really doesnt though....so she was testing her stability between the chair/ottoman and the couch.  It was cute & she was soooo excited when she would accomplish it!
