Originally Vince and I had planned that every year we would go either back to New York (where we went on our honeymoon) or at least go somewhere special for our anniversary weekend. So this year, time just caught up to us and we had been soooo busy that we didn't plan any big vacation somewhere. Vince had planned to surprise me and go to Sedona for the night...but it was snowing up there and the roads were terrible!! So, Mother Nature kinda ruined that plan for us...although that would have been nice to spend it in the snow! However, we stayed home....and actually went somewhere REALLY special for our anniversary just like we promised ourselves!! We started the evening at the Hyatt which is not only where we spent many, many dates...but also where Vince proposed to me...in the rain, by the fire....no rain tonight though, it was a gorgeous cold night!! After a few signature cosmos at the Hyatt, we then went to Houstons for dinner...again where we spent many, many dates....and was always our favorite place for years! So, while the day started a little disappointing because our out of town plans were ruined, it actually turned out to be one of the most "special" days we could have had....as we spent it right here at home, and at the 2 places in AZ where we have the most history! Happy 2nd Anniversary!!!! Many more special, wonderful years to come.....
This is us with Juan...we have many pics of us with Juan (from Houstons). It's tradition, of which I have no recollection of how it started...it just did! Usually a birthday tradition, but it seemed appropriate that we share our anniversary with him too!! :)
