Day 1....MONDAY
We landed in NYC late in the evening....got our hotel situated....and then hit the streets!! We were staying right in Times Square at the Wyndham. Cute little hotel...very small rooms but very nice! We needed food....so ended up at the ESPN Zone right in Times Square...Monday Night football was on so, along with about 100 other people still in there at 11pm...watched the end of the game, drank some beer, and ate some good food! Great way to start off the week in NYC!
DAY 2.....TUESDAY
Day 2 we did what Vince wanted to do most on this trip....go to Canal Street. Well, first we did what I wanted to do most....SLEEP IN!! Then hit Canal St! This is in the Chinatown area and is where you find all the great deals & brand name knock offs. We did a little shopping...found some great deals....walked around....enjoyed the beautiful day in the city! Loved this pic of the Starbucks at the base of the Chinese bldg....so ironic! And, YES, we did get our Sbucks here!!
For dinner we decided on a great steakhouse that was recommended to us...Uncle Jacks. Just happened to be right around the corner from our hotel too. AWESOME dinner!!! And they even carried our CA favorite wine - Qupe! So, a bottle of wine & some great steaks in our bellies...we hit the streets of Times Square again!
Walking around the city even more....we ended up at Rockefeller Center. We walked around the ice rink area...walked inside the bottom of the Empire State Bldg (didn't go up it yet!)...took some pics in front of very cool stuff ;)....found a great wine bar across from where the Today Show is filmed and the NBC studios....had some champagne....watched a crazy photo shoot going on with wierd models. You know....NYC stuff!! :)
