12.25.2013: Christmas Entertainment

After dinner, we moved to the living room, where more present opening happened.  Kenny & Kelsea opened theirs from everyone, and everyone opened theirs from them.  Follow that?  Same with Christina & Lex, and Drake. 

 

Everyone enjoyed their present opening, then we moved on to the games of the evening!!  Mom and the kids had put together a charades game for us to play.  This was BEYOND hilarious!!!  We had soooo much fun and laughed sooo hard!!!  Everyone participated, especially the kids! Andrew stole the show with his impersonations though.  Some of our favorites were his "palm tree" and his "orange".  Christina was by far the most creative on her guesses, which had us all cracking up.  I got all videos, no pics, of the charades night.  It was pretty hilarious though!!  Definitely a game to remember!!

12.25.2013: Christmas Dinner at the Durbins

Drake usually flies in on Christmas afternoon after he spends Christmas morning with his mom.  Vince & Brianna went to go pick him up at the airport while the rest of us cleaned house and started making dinner.

Kenny & Kelsea made it into town just in time for dinner...Christina & Lex came for dinner too, as they have for the past few years.  We all had out traditional prime rib roast, and lobster mac & cheese, and tyropitas, and rolls, and salad, and sweet potato casserole, and probably some more food that I have forgotten!

 Mom had bought some "ice breakers" that were at each persons' plate.  They were little knick knacks stuffed in these cardboard firecracker things.  You had to "pop" the thing to get the prize out!  It was really cool...and the kids (ALL the kids) loved them!

12.25.2013: Christmas Morning at the Durbins

Christmas was good to everyone in the Durbin house!  We got up early and in position for the kiddos to see their presents from Santa (us too!)!  We did our usual opening of the gifts in the morning. Everyone taking turns, waiting patiently as we go in age order, one by one.  It's the tradition to take our time and enjoy what everyone opens.  Hard to get Avery to understand that just yet, so she worked the room and help us all open our gifts!

I got Vince an AR-15 for Christmas.  Brent actually built it for me, and Alisa did some of the design work on the Air Force symbol on the stock.  So, it was a family affair!  Brent & Alisa got Vince the case for Christmas, and Kenny got him a cleaning kit.
