Today Drake had a track meet at Arcadia High School. This was a significantly smaller meet than most, as 4 of the other biggest clubs weren't participating in it. Which is good because the meet moves much faster!
When we got there, the relay teams were getting set to run. One of the guys on Drake's relay team didn't show though, so they boys didn't get to run. His next race was the 100m dash. While he was doing that, his group for the shot put was called. But, he prefers to run, so decided to stay and run. So, missed the shot put event. Bummer.
All these events happened within the first 2 hours, which was amazing for timing!! However, his next event was the 200m...which was the second to last event! And it started to get hot out! It was a beautiful day so far, but it started getting warm, and we were ready to go! As soon as Drake finished his race, we left. He did really well in both of them. I haven't checked the times online yet to compare to the rest of the field, but he looked good!
