Last night, Vince and I picked up Drake and headed north to Flagstaff. We were spending the night with Kenny & Kelsea because Drake had a track meet at NAU the next day. It is Valentines Day so I was afraid w would be crashing the lovebirds big plans....but they were both working last night! Kelsea gets off at 5pm, but didn't get home until 10pm...and Ken was at work until 2 or so. I stayed up to say hi to Kelsea and chat with her for a bit, and Kenny ended up coming to the track meet today so I got to hang out with him for the day too!
Drake had 3 events today: 100m dash, 200m dash, and the shot put. He did great in all of them, but ended up qualifying for Nationals in the shot put! The last time we came to this event, he did the same. Pretty cool! This was only their second meet of the year as well, so that is pretty good for being so early in the season. The meet lasted all day, and we left Flagstaff around 6pm...thoroughly exhausted!!!
