Tonight we indulged in what is known as the Best Buffet in the World. The Bachanal at Ceasars. Can you say amazing?! Now this is by far not our first time there, however it still seems new and oh so lovely each time! Seems like every time we go here though is when we have a place to be afterwards....which means rushing through dinner to get to wherever we need to be. How can you rush through a buffet?!?
The evening started out not so wonderful though. Vince got a horrible bloody nose. The conditions were dry and I'm sure smoke from the casinos didn't help. It started about 3, and at 4:30, it was still going full-strength. He was trying to push through it without alarming anyone, but by this time I was ready to take him to the hospital for a blood transfusion! He had lost a TON of blood. It looked like someone bled out and died in our room. Eventually we called Lex and he suggested some Afrin spray. So I literally RAN to the drugstore. Got back, and one squirt in each nostril....and it stopped. For a few minutes. It started back up again, another few squirts, and he was good. It was crazy. And it really freaked me out! Vince gets nose bleeds often (a Hearn genetic thing)...but this time it was beyond normal!! So, he felt fine, and did NOT want to miss the buffet, so we got it together and rushed over to meet the group. They greeted us with glasses of champagne, and we were ready to feed our bellys!!
After dinner, we had all got tickets to go see the Wayne Brady show. We had seen a version of it before when he was a regular in Vegas, and we loved it. It was something we thought the rest of the group would like too...and they did!! It was hilarious and he is such a talented man. Very entertaining & so much fun! I wish he would have done some of his singing & dancing though...those were the best! Love his performance of "Back in the Day"....one of my favorite songs of his!
After Wayne, we hit the "route" again. Went to all our usual casinos to feed the machines, and make some money!
At Bally's there is a steakhouse in the back (well, there was). In front, there is a bar where you can get higher end wine, champagne & liquor. Christina found this little gem & made friends with the bartender - HL. Yes, his name is HL. At least that is what he says. So, she turned us all onto this little hidden secret and we spent the rest of the evening there, closing down the bar (yes, there are bars that actually close in Vegas). Not after drinking all we could hold though!!! I have never had so much amazing Rose' in my life...and it was GOOD, and expensive too! We were taking it down by the bottle. Between that and the scotch the guys were drinking, we got our monies worth!!!
Post-HL, we had to go back and get our gamble on. Christina, Dara and I ended up at the Roulette tables....Lex & Derek were playing craps....Kenny & Kelsea were getting in on the crap lessons, Mom was at her secret winning machine, and Vince and Dad were keeping track of us all.
