So, somehow Brent brainwashed a bunch of people into doing this Tough Mudder with him again this weekend. It was supposed to be in San Diego, but they moved it to Temecula at the last minute. I guess there was some endangered birds or something nesting in the San Diego location and they needed to move it. So, Temecula it is. I'm not complaining...but the guys weren't too excited about it. This is the "Toughest" Mudder...ie...hard course, lots of hills (er, mountains) to run up, etc... NOTHING like the AZ one they did earlier in the year. Anyhow, they were all in.....so were we, to watch!
So, Mom & Dad rented a house in Temecula for us all to crash at. The plan was to have a big dinner there after the mudder, but the house rental people were actually on property and did not allow guests on the property!! Craziness...but ye, they counted the people coming in. It was a little overboard, and somewhat ruined our plans, but oh well. We figured it out!
So, anyways, the house was amazing! If it was mine, I wouldn't want people all up in it having parties, but come on! It was actually up in the mountains on the other side of the freeway from wine country and the lake they were running at tomorrow. So, a pretty good drive... It was also basically impossible to find, with little to no cell coverage up there. Kinda nice to be disconnected, but kinda not at the same time! Oh well, we all got there, and everyone made it up Friday evening in time for dinner....
