09.23.2011: Aspen Campground - Day 1

Vince, Drake and I joined Brent, Alisa & kids up in Payson area at Aspen Campground for a weekend in the woods.  We had all been very much looking forward to a weekend away with no work, no tv, no phones, and no people (except for us)!  Brent & fam had gone up the night before to make sure they got a good camping spot...we joined them on Fri afternoon after we picked up Drake from school.  As soon as we got there, the weather was perfect (70's), and we immediately got into "camping mode".  The kids wasted no time in being silly and woodsy.  We relaxed, started happy hour, and dinner preparations. We did the traditional chili & hot dogs to keep it easy...but good!! Sun seemed to go down quickly and we got to spend a lot of evening by the fire before we hit the hay (tents).  The first evening was soooo nice...but got a little chilly overnight. 

 Kids guns at twilight...ahhh!

 Yes, Brent is warming Avery's bottle in a wine glass....with warm water in it.
