Friday, Mom & Dad, Brad & Leonor, Gina & Bill & Chris....all converged on Brent & Alisa's house for the weekend of the big baby shower. Saturday, was an eventful day.......
You guess the order of the 5 things that happened today....
it's more interesting that way!!
1. Drinking
2. Shooting
3. Running
4. Baby Shower
5. Car Accident
Winner is....
1. Running: Dad and Brent woke up really early and went for a 2, 3, or 5 mile run...depending on who you ask....and at what time of the day you asked them. I think it was like a 3 mile run....anyways, it was a good way to start their day!!
2. Shooting: Dad & Brent went out to east county to go shooting before it got to warm out...and before the baby shower festivities began! Sounded like they had a good time out there....
3. Car Accident: On the way back from shooting, Dad & Brent got in a really bad car accident that almost totalled Mom & Dad's truck. Some lady ran a red light...going very fast. Luckily Brent saw her flying thru the intersection and slammed on his breaks...but wasn't enough. KA-BLAM! Smash..... Air bags went off....Dad & Brent were both somewhat ok...very shaken up...and going to be very sore for the next few days. Brent tensed up and strained his shoulders & neck...and Dad got hit with the airbag right in the chest....was having a hard time breathing....prob cracked his sternum! But, being stubborn Durbins, they both refused to go to the doctor to get checked out. Brent called Alisa, which practically put her into labor right there...and the group rushed to the scene to pick them up!
4. Drinking: After that little detour of the day, it was time for a much needed drink!!! Brent tried to April Fools everyone on Friday by announcing that there would be no alcohol served at the party due to Alisa's prego-ness. I don't think anyone fell for his little foolery though! Drinking was to occur....as usual!!
5. Baby Shower: And the reason for the day of celebration to being with!!! Eventually, we got to the baby shower.....the party for "New One"!!!!
