04.18.2018: Just a Lion Share and Absinthe

Right after the show, the international team took Vince and I to dinner.  We went to a fairly new spot called the Lions Share.  It was setup like an underground speakeasy kind of place.  VERY unique!!!!  The menu was interesting, the drinks even more-so.  I had a great bourbon mixed drink....and everyone got something different.  For appetizers the one Vince and I couldn't wait to try were the Antelope Sliders.  Mainly because antelope are everywhere at my parents in Sonoita and we always wonder what they would taste like! Ummmm, they were delicious!! We were ready to go shoot all the 'lopes in Sonoita, but definitely tasty!

After apps and a few rounds of drinks, Cory (one of the team members who is actually from here in AZ, but lives in Virginia Beach now) wanted to try some Absinthe.  I had never had it before or seen it prepared.  It was an entire production!! It was pretty amazing...but didn't love the drink.  It was extremely strong and I didn't like the flavor of this one in particular.  I have a feeling Cory is going to be feeling this one all night!

After we left the crew, Vince and I headed back to our hotel and went for a walk along the waterfront. The San Diego skyline is one of the prettiest in the world (#1 in my book though).  So gorgeous and makes me miss this town even more!

04.18.2018: A Day at the Show

Nothing super exciting today...just a work day for Vince!  We both headed to the show in the morning and hung out there all day.  It is always fun walking around the show and getting free swag.  We love going and collecting shirts, patches, pens, and lots of other useless things we don't need but like getting.  We really do like getting all the free t-shirts though!  Some are pretty cool!

ADS always has a good variety of vendors at their shows so there is lots to look at.  We have been to a few of these so we both know a lot of the repeat vendors and reps there.  Always love seeing the fun demonstrations as well! One of the best that they have right there in the show is the K9 attack demo.

Long day, but fun, and something different than the regular day to day at home!

04.17.2018: Warrior Expo East Fun

Vince and I headed over to the Convention Center to setup our booth for the week.  Well, Vince's booth...I'm just free help so he can get it done faster! :)

Tonight after setup and his meetings we are going to the ADS sponsored baseball game at Petco Park. We did this last year too and it was a ton of fun!  Love all the people we get to chat with at these events and they are all so nice.  ADS knows how to throw a company party!  The party is held up at the rooftop bar area and is very VIP! All you can eat & drink all night.  We had a blast as usual!

04.17.2018: San Diego Bound

This morning Vince and I flew out to San Diego for a few days for a conference for Wamore.  We opted to fly instead of drive, just because we could...why not!  We are staying at a super cute resort on Shelter Island called the Kona Kai.  The hotels that were part of the conference were sold out and everything downtown was either sold out too or way overpriced...so why not be over on Shelter Island but in a nice resort with ocean views right on the water!? So much better :)

After we landed and before we headed over to check in, we went over to Liberty Station and took a little tour of our old stomping grounds where we got married.  We also had a nice breakfast at Breakfast Republic (which I highly recommend!!  It was delish!!)

We have a long work day ahead of us so we went and checked in, changed, and got ready to head out again!

04.13.2018: A Run & Some Grapes

Beautiful morning for a run!!!  Love spring in AZ.  And when I got home, I was out watering plants and saw our little baby grapes growing!!  Last year we only had one cluster but this year we already have 2!!  So excited!  I love how the vines grow and intertwine with each other and the metal lattice on the wall.  I feel like you can see it growing as you are watching it.  It is a little creepy, but super cool!

04.07.2018: Karaoke at 92nd Street

After we Ubered back to our house, we decided we needed to get some food!  We walked down to 92nd Street CafĂ© which is just down the street.  Well, wouldn't ya know!? It was karaoke night! Haha (we knew that!).  We really did just want to come and hang out, but you know it doesn't take much to convince Vince to get up and belt out a tune or two! We stayed long enough for Vince to sing 2 songs, ate some chicken wings, made some new friends (that we knew we would never see again), and then headed back down the street! Great ending to a great day!

04.07.2018: Scottsdale's Uncorked Wine Festival

This morning Vince and I walked down to Starbucks and sat out on the patio.  It is truly a gorgeous day out today!!  Perfect for a little wine tasting event!!!

This afternoon, we headed over to the Salt River baseball fields with Brian & Thereisa for an Uncorked Wine Festival.  It was really cool because it was actually inside the baseball stadium. There were over 50 different wineries represented here today and it was unlimited tasting at all of them!  So, as you can probably imagine, we tried MOST of them! We had a few of our favorites though and kept going back for refills.  The people there serving were all very nice and generous with their wines.  They didn't want to have to take any home, so by the end, they were pouring us full glasses.  It was amazing.  Not to mention the beautiful day we had today, it was perfect for hanging out outside and drinking wine with our friends!
