Theme of the week...."Plenty of Time"
Every time we asked Ken or Kelsea about this or that...wondering if it was done or figured out yet, their answer was "No, but there is plenty of time". So it turned into the theme of the entire pre-wedding. I actually loved their laid back attitude that everything will just work itself out. My OCD planning side was going crazy for them, but they are so carefree that it was nice & refreshing!
Don't get me wrong, a TON of stuff had already been done way ahead of time, and everything was already ready...it was just some of the little things - like their vows ;) Which they worked out after the party, with Jeff, in the "Board Room". So official.
So, we joked all day today about there still being plenty of time to get stuff done...as in less than 24 hours!
In the morning, we did some more wedding prep. 2 of the other bridesmaids and I went to get our nails done. Kelsea had her practice hair & makeup session. The guys all went to Mens Warehouse to pick up their suits. Vince prepped for his wine tasting event he was hosting tonight after the rehearsal. The rest of the crew relaxed at the manor, ran errands, and prepped for dinner.
The rehearsal went well though. Super quick and pretty simple. Love that there are multiple venues within the winery for people to go and things to take place.
Here goes the flow: As guests come in, they walk outside through the barrel room, which is pretty cool in itself. There they get water if they want, and sign the guest book. They then walk down a long green garden walkway with arches of beautiful ivy & flowers down to the ceremony site. The ceremony takes place on a flat clearing that has the valley in the background & where you can actually watch the sunset perfectly (going to make for some amazing pictures!!!). After the ceremony, the guests go up to the separate garden area (near the wine tasting room) for the cocktail hour, while the bridal party all takes pictures. (Not cool that we miss out on the cocktail hour!!) After that, everyone heads to the dining room which also overlooks the valley with views of the sunset. The bridal party makes our grand entrance by coming up this gorgeous circular staircase from down in the barrel room, and onto the dance floor. So, so pretty!
So, we figured out the flow of stuff pretty quick and we were ready to get back to the manor for the rehearsal dinner party!!
