Back at the manor, the cooks get the food ready for dinner, while Vince puts on a wine tasting event in the bar area. He loves doing this kind of stuff!! He had 4 different varietals and the tasting notes for all of them. He loves trying to get people to really taste the wine and break it down, and well as give fun facts about the winery and region it comes from. One day, when we have our own winery, he will definitely be running the tasting room!
Anyways, we had a pretty big group at the house for the rehearsal dinner. We had the food catered by a friend of the family - who makes amazing Mexican food! She is also making the wedding cake for tomorrow's ceremony.
It was a super windy afternoon - as many afternoons in Temecula are - so trying to keep the burners lit on all the chaffing dishes was a mess. Finally got them lit, everything was set up on the buffett, and we gathered to all pray together. And a tablecloth on the buffett table blew up into the burner and caught fire!! It was crazy. Luckily there were some flower arrangements close by so the water was used to extinguish the burning cloth. Crisis averted. Now, let's pray and eat!!
Dinner was fabulous, everyone had a GREAT time, and it was a perfect evening to cap off a day of rehearsing and prepping for tomorrow!
