Today was the final game of the season....and it was a playoff tournament. The team was only 2-6 for the season, but like they say...any given Sunday (er, Saturday). The boys had nothing to lose & everything to gain with a win today! They came out in the first half playing with a TON of heart. First 2 opening plays were TD's. Going into the half, we thought this was going to be a total blowout!! The other team was frustrated, the coaches were yelling at the kids, at each other, at the refs. One of their kids even elbowed one of ours in the face because our defense was too good.
Unfortunately, the other team got it together at the half and came back out like a new team. They played hard and came back to win it. However, our boys ended the game with a pick 6...but we lost by 1 touchdown. Time ran out on us & our comeback. They played great though...and were soooo improved from the beginning of the season. Looking back at pictures & videos, you can tell it was a successful season, despite their record.
