After the rain started to let up, we decided to just get up. It was about 6:30am and it was light enough. We moved the tarps over the eating areas, lit a fire, and cleaned up after the night storms. Tried to dry off what we could to make some coffee and breakfast. It was still pretty gloomy and drizzly, but we were good with it. The fire was staying lit, and it actually wasn't too cold either. It kinda seemed like a good camping morning.
Brent & Alisa made delicious chorizo & egg burritos and we ate under the tarps. The fog was rolling and it wasn't looking like it was letting up at all. Forecast called for the worst of the storms to hit today & tonight....so we decided that the first break in the storm, we would pack it up and go home. So we did....
It was pretty muddy getting it all back together, but very Lake Mead-ish in the sense that the last to load were the tarps! We just threw everything in the trailer and headed to Brent's to sort it out and hose it off and clean it up! We were only out there for about 24 hours, but it was a GREAT 24 hours....and one trip we will not soon forget!! :)
