For Avery's birthday Alisa wanted to take her to Build-a-Bear to build her first bear by herself! It was super cute because she was kinda freaked out by all the deflated bear bodies. She didn't really get the idea of it all...and didn't want to chose a bear. So, Nana had to help her a little. Once she got her bear & it was full of stuffing, she had a BLAST picking out the outfits for it. Of course she picked out the most outrageous wonder woman looking costume/dress she could find. Sunglasses of course, and some sparkling Wizard of Oz red shoes. It was hilarious!! So we sat down at the computers to name the bear & print out its birth certificate...and when it came time to ask Avery what her bear's name was...she said Quentin. Yes, Quentin. No idea where she came up with that name...or that it was a boy's name and she had an extravagant girlie looking bear....but that was the name. There was absolutely no hesitation in it either. Alisa and I had some good laughs about this for the rest of the afternoon.
After building some bears, we went to lunch, then we let the girls play on the playground there for a while. It was hot, but they didn't seem to care....we had a blast!
