11.08.2014: Flags are Flying

Flags, as in flag football....and its Veterans Weekend!  We headed to Gilbert in the morning for Andrew's football game today. Mom, Dad, Kenny & Kelsea were all there as well.  Alisa and Brianna weren't there today, as they had to get to downtown Mesa early in the morning to get ready for the Veteran's Day parade.  Brianna's Dance group was performing in it. Avery was decked out in festival Veteran's Day attire....and as spunky as ever!  At one point she was looking for snacks, and since we didn't have any, she had a mini breakdown moment by herself.  Uncle Kenny tried to go console her and it was soooo cute!  She eventually came around and rejoined the rest of us cheering for Andrew and his team.

11.06.2014: Our 5 Year Anniversary

Today was Vince & my 5 year anniversary.  Hard to believe that its been 5 years since we were in Point Loma celebrating our wedding with our family & friends.  Tonight we went to dinner at WildFish in downtown Scottsdale and we had a great meal.   It was a new place for us...as we are TRYING to try more new places.  We get stuck in our same ole' usuals and never try any of the amazing restaurants that pop up here in town.  We live in one of the best "foodie" destinations in the country, and have failed to try them all yet!  New goal for next year.....  We will see how long that lasts! ;)

 

11.01.2014: Another Andrew Football Game

 

We went out to Andrew's football game this morning.  Alisa and Brianna were taking dance pictures so we went for some extra cheering for Andrew!  He did awesome as usual.  Had a few TD passes, and the team they played was big! Some of the other kids looked like teenagers.

10.31.2014: Birthday Dinner with Juan

My birthday was pretty uneventful this year.  Vince was in San Antonio for the whole week.  On my birthday, Alisa, Brent and Avery took me out to lunch.  On Friday when Vince got home, we went to Houston's for a late bday dinner with Juan.  This is my bday tradition every year...so I enjoyed it!  HAVE to get our pics with him :)  So glad he is still there to greet us every year!

 

10.25.2014: Dinner with Charles & Family

Charles was in town for a few days and his grandson had a BJJ tournament here in Phx this weekend.  Charles' son, Chris, and daughter, Marquita, and their kids came up for the weekend, so we had a little dinner at our house for them.  Vince made his famous fried chicken and we had a bunch of sides as well.  Glenn, Jan and Jackie all made it over to visit for a while too.  We had a great time and everyone seemed to have fun.

 

 

10.25.2014: Brianna's Dance at the AZ State Fair

Saturday morning, I met Alisa, Kenny, Kelsea and the kids to go the AZ State Fair to watch Brianna perform with the Cambridge Dance Academy.  They were one of the last groups to go so we got to see LOTS of girls dances haha! It was cute though seeing all the different styles, ages, levels, etc....

 

Brianna's group did amazing.  They did a dance to the music from the movie Rio & were all dressed as birds.  She looked so pretty....and GROWN!  It was fun...and really hot!



 

 

After her performance, we walked around a little.  Kenny wanted to get his deep fried Reeses Cup.  Avery is always "starving" so she got a basket of fries.  Enough to feed 20 people, but she insisted they were hers and wasn't too fond of sharing.  Esp with Kenny! :)
