08.12.2012: Drake's Early Birthday Dinner

Drake has recently started liking Alaskan King Crab legs.....a very expensive habit for a 9 year old.  However, Vince and I decided to make them for him for his 10th birthday!  We were about a week early, but thought it would be a fun night for us!  Drake LOVED them, and ate a huge plate full.  Again, an expensive habit that he wont be getting used to...haha!!!  But great for special occasions!

08.05.2012: Morning Toons

While Mom & I made breakfast, Dad watched morning toons with the kiddos.  I don't remember what they were watching, but Avery really liked it!

 

08.04.2012: Pool Party in Scottsdale

Saturday, we headed over to our place for the day/night so the kids could swim.  We kinda take over the pool when we are there haha!!  All the kids have such a good time swimming...and we had fun watching them.  Avery had a blast & thinks she is brave enough to do it all on her own :)

 



 

 

 Cheeto snacks.....loved by all!!  They are the most addicting things in the world!

 Night swimming....one of their all-time favs things to do!!  I think they think that they are breaking the rules or something haha!  They did get to stay up till 10pm though....WAY past their normal bedtime!  And according to Nana, no one has to find out either!  :)

 Well, Avery didn't get to stay up till 10pm....she is on a stricter schedule than the others.  So, she got her bath & got off to bed she went!  She is such a happy baby...and so used to her schedule, she adapts to it anywhere.  She LOVES baths still and is happy to go straight to bed....cuz she is usually ready by then anyways.

08.03.2012: Anniversary Celebration

On Friday, Kenny ended up driving down from Flagstaff for a night.  Mom and Dad got into town from Las Vegas.  They spent Thurs night there with Brent & Alisa...then headed down to Mesa to celecrate with the us.  The rest of us weren't invited to Vegas :)  So we had our own party out in Mesa to celebrate for them!



 

 Cheers!!!  Happy Anniversary to Brent & Alisa!  A little champagne for the adults...and a little apple juice for the kiddos!!!  Everyone cheers!!  Congrats on 10 great years!!!!  :)

 

08.02.2012: Avery's First Spaghetti Dinner

 

Vince and I got to watch the kids for the weekend while Brent & Alisa were in Vegas celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary.  When we babysit, the kids like us to make spaghetti & meatballs.  They say its the "best ever"...and Andrew even told me he dreams about it sometimes.  Haha!!  Ok, well, Avery hadn't gotten to experience some speghetti & meatballs yet....so tonight was the PERFECT night to introduce her!!  She absolutely loved it....she couldn't really tell me that...but it "seemed" like it anyways.  She ate & ate and loved slurping the noodles...esp after she saw the other kids doing it.

 

 

 So, at this point, she was done eatting and just playing now...she was trying to put some of the noodles back together.  Then she just made art all over the table....

 Time for a bath...NOW!

 

 

After her bath, everyone got to indulge in Ice Cream Sandwiches.....because it is NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY!!  Yup, what are the chances....

 

So Avery got to have her first (I think) sandwich tonight too.  She looked like such a big girl holding her little sandwich!!  I was only gonna let her have half, and ended up having to rip it out of her hands...and she lost it!  So I gave her a few more bites :)
