08.05.2016: Nooooooooooo, Gotta Go

I really didn't want to leave without my family today.  Happy to be going back to AZ...but wishing they were all coming with me.  Yes, I cried a little at the airport.  Couldn't help it.

 

The beginning of the day was just spent lounging around the house being silly with the kiddos.  Had to get my selfies in with all of them. Avery and I usually take about 100 per visit haha!

 

On the way to the airport we stopped at a little lunch spot called Pieous.  It is a pizza place, with yummmo pizza and salad, and sandwiches.  So good!  

 

08.04.2016: Chilling.....

More organizing, more snuggles...have to get them in before I leave tomorrow!!!

 

This afternoon Alisa & I took the kiddos to the pool for a little dip.  Barrett seemed to like it, same with the other kiddos.  It was a nice change & good to get out of the house for a few!

 

08.03.2016: Brent & Alisa's Anniversary



Most of the day today was spent organizing the house and bedrooms.  We took a few breaks to just hang out with Barrett and snuggle with the kiddos.  To celebrate Brent & Alisa's anniversary tonight, we went to dinner at the Salt Lick - the pride & joy of this area of TX.  They are well known as the best BBQ in town...and they really are.  I love that you bring your own beer.  So we brought a little cooler, and pigged out!!!  Literally.

08.02.2016: Touring Dripping

Today we went to both of the kids schools to register them and do all the check-in procedures.  Andrew's school was a little overwhelming for him, but he picked all his classes, went and bought himself a school notebook/calendar, met with his counselor, etc.  We didn't really walk around the school much, but it seemed HUGE.

 

Next we went over to the girl's elementary school.  It was equally big but didn't seem as overwhelming.  The kdis and I walked around the classrooms and cafeteria a bit while Brent & Alisa did all the check-in stuff.

 

 

After the obligatory school stuff, we drove over to the property to show it to me & the kids for the first time.  It was pretty with all the oak trees on it, but hard to visually picture where everything would go!  The big clearing in the back area was where Brent & Alisa's house would be, which was a nice area & would be completely surrounded by trees so super private. Mike & Olivia's house would go closer to the front of the property by the road, which was harder to visualize, but could see where it would be.

After seeing the property, we just drove around  little bit, and stopped into Dairy Queen for an afternoon snack!  YUMMM....

This picture was purely to send to Vince to torture him!  Those 2 love bragging about their DQ visits & making the other one jealous!

08.01.2016: We Made It

We made it to Dripping Springs in the afternoon today.  We were hoping Brent would have the UHaul all unpacked already, but no such luck. I knew we should have driven slower!!  Scott took an early flight back to CA, so we missed seeing him again.  Brent was there working on unpacking when we pulled up.  We spent the rest of the afternoon/evening unpacking all the vehicles and the UHaul,  and semi-organizing the place.  Mom & Dad have an early flight in the morning so Brent took them over to see the property really quick. 

 

First night there - we saw deer out in the fields behind the houses.  Kinda cool!
