03.31.2016: Cruising to the Park

Avery and I took a cruise over to the park on our bikes.  Well, she was on hers...I rode Pigs.  It was a little small for me, but so fun to ride!!  Avery is a little speed demon and fearless.  She was going 100 miles an hour down this little hill, even though I kept telling her to slow down. She was cranking those peddles QUICK. Eventually she ate it, and laughed.  Nothing but a couple little scrapes, that she was kinda proud of haha!  Such a funny girl.

 

03.20.2016: False Alarm - Kinda

So tonight was the scheduled induction night for Baby Durbs.  I headed over to Brent & Alisa's with the plan of spending the night with the kiddos while they went to the hospital.

The apt was at 8pm...and around 7pm, Alisa got a call that they needed to postpone.  The doc was stuck in Mexico.  ARGH!!  Bad weather, missed flight, something....

So, I headed home...and the induction was rescheduled for tomorrow night.

03.19.2016: Evening Bike Ride

03.11.2016: JUMP!!

This morning I went and picked up Brianna and Avery at their house and headed over to the Phoenix Convention Center.  JUMP is going on this weekend.  Although Brianna didn't have a performance this morning, most of her team were performing their solos....so we went to support.  The whole way there all they talked about was getting Starbucks! So, when we got there, we did.  They were in heaven, as always.  Starbucks makes them as happy as it makes me!!

 

We got to see Brooke's solo, as well as a few of the other girls.  Sooo much fun hanging with these girls and watching the RDA family perform.  Avery & I did our own thing most of the day while Brianna hung out with the dancers. 

 

Eventually we had to go find food...so Avery and I walked, and walked and walked.  I asked her if she wanted her usual (chicken & ench fries)...but she didn't.  She said she needed to start trying new things.  So, she wanted something different.  Yes, this conversation was extremely interesting!!  So, she decided she wanted pasta today instead.  Easy, right??  Well, we walked for like 5 blocks...which might as well have been a mile to her.  Finally found an Italian restaurant with some mac & cheese! Yippee for Avery!! And they had wine...yippee for me!! Brought the other girls back some food....and we were good for the day!

 

It was a long day, but so fun.  Alisa came down later in the afternoon.  Mom & Dad came out too and we met them for some appetizers after they checked into their hotel.  I ended up heading home later, and the rest of the crew stayed and continued the dance madness :)

 

We would be back tomorrow for a full afternoon & evening of dance.

03.05.2016: Another Season in the Books

Today was the end of the season tournament for the Broncos.  They played the Giants for the first game.  They didn't have a great game against them the last time they played a few weeks ago.  We were all hoping for a better outcome today.

 

The game started out rough.  Ok, that is an understatement!  First 2 possessions we threw pick-6's.  Luckily, neither were Andrew.  Unluckily, it didn't matter because we were down by 2TDs within he first minute!!  Let's just say the game didn't get TOO much better after that.  We did manage to score a few times, but we were clearly outmatched.  With a 1st game loss, we were done for the day.  And the boy were done for the season.  No SuperBowl trophy for these Broncos!!  Oh well, they all still wore their amazing smiles and left the field with their heads held high!

 

03.04.2016: Biking for Brews with the Boys

Friday night...happy hour...in need of exercise!  Time for a bike ride with the boys to the bar for brews.  Not a bad way to spend the evening!!!

 

03.01.2016: Lunch Date

Today I had a date with the little one.  She came along with me shopping for Paisley's birthday present.  Asking a 4yr old girl for a great gift for another is genius!  Although I prob spent just as much on HER as I did on the birthday gift!  Her negotiating skills are superior to most people this age.  After our shopping excursion, we went to Chick-fil-A...and of course DQ for some dessert...because it was right there.  Avery couldn't wait to call Vince to tell him she had some DQ without him. 

 

After our date, we met Alisa at her doc appt.  Clock is ticking and it is getting close to BD-day...as in Baby Durbs Day!  So we went with her to see how things were coming along.  As we were waiting in the car for her, Avery swore she forgot about her apt and kept telling me to call her to remind her.  She had me cracking up while we were waiting...and insisted on our standard selfies.  Where does all this personality come from??
