6.19.2008: Erik & Steph's Rehearsal Dinner
On Thursday, we all converged in Riverside for Erik & Steph's rehearsal & dinner. The dinner was at Mom & Dad's house. It was a very hot afternoon of setting up and getting ready. The rehearsal was at Glen Eagle Country Club, where the weddng would take place the next day. Afterwards, everyone headed to Mom and Dad's house for dinner. It was catered by a wonderful Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing and the backyard looked beautiful (as always)....all for a very memorable occasion.

6.15.2008: Happy Father's Day!!
For Father's Day, Vince and I invited Vince Jr, Sarah, and their kids over for dinner and a day at the pool. We hung out at the pool, the kids played, swam, and had jumping contests. And the adults enjoyed some delicious margaritas! Sarah's friend, Toni, and Brian Green came as well and we had a great dinner later, Vince's special ribs, and wathcing a little golf and basketball on TV. It was a very special Father's Day for Vince to share with some of his family! :)

5.31.2008: Kenny Chesney Weekend
The Flagstaff crew organized a little Kenny Chesney weekend for us all down here in Phoenix. Yes, we all love Kenny (both Durbin and Chesney) so much that we devoted a whole weekend to him! :)

Mom, Dad, Brent & Alisa, Kennedys, Campbells, Kenny & Nicole, Vince and I all went to the concert. It was actually a very, very long and amazing show! Although Kenny was the headliner, all the openers were just as good....Keith Urban, Sammy Haggar, Gary Allen...all great performers!! Can't forget Uncle Kracker...making his standard cameo! It was such a fun night....once we got inside! It was at the Cardinals Stadium, which was nice and cool. Some of us tailgated in the 120 heat for an hour or two before....holy moly!! We almost melted!
Gina and Bill came out to watch the little kiddos and they had a great time with them!

5.17.08: Brent's 30th Birthday Party
On Sat the 17th, we had a birthday party for Brent's big 30th!! We all drove out to Riverside for the weekend and had a great time! It was actually record breaking heat there that weekend so all the kids spent most of the time in the pool. Drake had his first visit to the house and LOVED it. Couldn't get over all bugs! And the fact that not only does Yukon swim, but he also dives into the water.
For Brent's party, Mom actually surprised ME by inviting some of my old high school friends over! It was so good to see them all, and hopefully it wont be too long before I see them again!
Since I spent so much time socializing, I didn't get a chance to take many pictures. So, we are pretty limited with good ones this time!! Costco link is over on the right. Guess we better have another party so I can make up for it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENT!!!!

05.10.08: Getting Outta Dodge (or Pfluggerville)
The week of May 5th, I flew out to Texas to help Alisa pack up the house for the big move outta Pfluggerville! I was there for 4 days, and even though we really did most of the packing at night after the kids went to sleep....(cuz we had to hit the outlet mall, Garden Ridge, and various other really important stores before they left)...we got a lot done. Who knew they had so much stuff!! :) I left on Thursday, and Mom, Dad, Brent, and (cousin) Scott flew in. Jason flew out on Fri. They loaded up the Uhaul and made the (hopefully) last drive out of Texas! We put all their stuff in storage here in AZ until their house is finished. It was a long, busy week....and just the beginning of the long busy summer we are about to have!!!

4.29.08: Random Thoughts & Pics
Alisa and the kids have been here in Arizona for the last month or so, and they went back to Texas yesterday. I can't really say they went "home", because guess what.....THEY SOLD THEIR HOUSE!! Whooohooo!! They got an offer last week, and Alisa went back to start the packing process....or finish it, I guess. Escrow closes on May 16th, but they are loading up and moving their stuff here to AZ on the weekend of the 10th. All really great news! Except that their new house here in AZ isn't finished being built yet, so in the meantime, Brent will keep living here with us, and Alisa and the kids will roam back & forth between here and Riverside. You know the family in CA is happy about that!! :) They can't wait!!! Between CA & AZ, they will be even more busy and get to visit with lots of family!
The past month or so has been pretty busy. With the kids here, we spent a lot of time by the pool working on our spring tans. Andrew has become quite the swimmer, and actually so has Brianna. Before they left, Brianna will leave you & the steps and just float with her "muscles" on. Andrew swims almost like a pro both above and below water without his muscles, and with very little help from his floating noodle! He has gotten pretty brave! They will be ready for the Olympic team by the end of summer!
For us big kids, we got to have a couple little wine nights, went to dinner once or twice, but mostly operated out of the house! Since Vince and I were in Vegas so much, we didn't really get to plan any fun activities around here. (Which explains the lack of pics!!) Oh well....they will be back soon!
Here are some random pics from the last month. (Yes, Brent is drinking wine in that first picture!) A few more (as well as the Vegas ones) are on the Costco website link to the right.
The summer is jam-packed full of exciting events!!! I finally updated our event list too!! This is a really busy year for our group...let the fun begin!!!!

4.12.08: Las Vegas
Vince and I spent 10 days in Las Vegas recently. We started the trip as fun, and ended it with work. All the family went up for a Daughtry/Bon Jovi concert and spent the weekend relaxing and hanging out with each other. Alan & Annette, and Brad & Lenor also met us up in Vegas for the weekend so we got to hang out a little with them as well! We spent our days at the Red Rock pool, which is my personal favorite because it is sooooo nice and new, and spent our evenings mostly at the Rio.

For the concert, Mom and Dad rented a huge Hummer limo, both for the trip there, and later that night for the trip back. We had a GREAT time!! The concert was a lot of fun, and it was nice just having us all together!
Vince and I ended the week with 5 days of work. He worked mostly though. I got to spend one day with my friend Chanty, who lives in Vegas....and who I have known for about 26 years! I went to lunch with her & her husband, Brian, and had a great time catching up! Can't wait till they come down here to visit....or we head back to Vegas!
