04.25.2010: Las Vegas Weekend

After Drake's game on Sat, Vince and I drove up to Las Vegas to meet Mom & Dad there. They had been there since Fri....but waited for us for the real fun! :) Sat, we went over to Palazzo after we checked in at the Rio. Gambled, racked up some player-player points....and in general had a great time doing Vegas like we do!

Sunday, we hung out at the pool most of the day just relaxing. In the evening, we went to dinner, then went to the Human Nature show at the Imperial Palace. Human Nature is a group of 4 white guys...from Australia...that sing Motown. They were AWESOME! It was a GREAT show!! We had such a good time!! And Mom got a special treat because the camera lady thought that her & I were sisters.....haha!!! She could not believe that Mom & Dad were my parents! Guess I am looking old these days ;)...haha!! So, we had to buy the pic!! Spent the rest of the night walking the strip....another great Vegas trip!!!! :)

04.24.2010: Drake's Football Game #2

Drake's second game was played over at the practice fields by the University of Phoenix Stadium (ie...Cardinals Stadium). I think being so close to the stadium inspired the kids to play that much better. They played one of the better teams in the league...and beat them! It was a GREAT game!!! Drake had a touchdown....see the series of pics including the handoff...didn't get the TD since all the kids were blocking the pic. He also had some great tackles....see the second series of pics...where he took down the biggest guy on their team....who also ended up injuring one of our players (the smallest guy) and giving him a concussion. Glad Drake got to squash him...he got up slowly. ;) Otherwise it was a great game!!! Kids did amazing!! :)

04.17.2010: Drake's First Tackle Football Game

Today was Drake's first tackel football game. He was soooo excited and soooo nervous!! He did really well though. Takes a while to get used to the chaos on the field, but by the end of the game, he started to get his berrings and figure out what was going on! He plays tightend on offense, and either D-line or safety on defense. The team lost, but did so well for their first game. You could tell the other team had been playing together for a while...and it was HOT out! Hard for those little (and big) guys in all those pads. Just the beginning.....

04.11.2010: Champagne Brunch Cruise in San Diego Bay

Sunday morning a BIG group of us went on a champagne brunch cruise in San Diego harbor. It was so nice and soooo much fun! Delicious food...and endless champagne!! The group: Mom & Dad..Brent, Alisa, Andrew, Brianna...Bill, Gina & Chris...Brad & Leonor...Jason & Kerry...Scott, Amanda, Riley....I think that was it. I have a copy of a group pic, but cannot upload it for some reason :(

It was cool & windy....very overcast...so we didn't stay up top very long. It was chilly for the kids! But it was a great 2 hour cruise that went around the harbor & pointed out all the hot spots along the way. Very enjoyable....even for someone that lives in San Diego....even better for a tourist though! Highly recommend!! It was a great time....and thanks to Mom for organizing the event!!!

04.10.2010: Dinner at Solare in Point Loma

For dinner, some of us ended up going to Solare...the restaurant where Vince and I had our rehearsal dinner. It is a gorgeous place and oh-so-good! It was an early night....long day in San Diego, and had to be up early again tomorrow. Great times though!!

Love the contrast in Andrew & Brianna....the outgoing HAM...and then the super shy, hide in mom's shoulder.

04.10.2010: Jason & Kerry's Baby Shower

We all drove down to San Diego for the weekend...to start it off on Sat we went to Jason & Kerry's baby (babies) shower. They are expecting twin girls!!! :) Due date is getting closer.... The shower was a lot of fun...hosted by Lenor & Michelle (Jason's cousin) down at Jason & Kerry's home. Didn't take too many pics this day so had to steal some from Kerry :)

They got some great gifts....and we got to see the girls new room. It is so cute!!! Jason even built a HUGE wall unit and a matching dresser. It is perfect...and very impressive!! We heard he learned from YouTube...amazing! I wanna make me some furniture!! :)

04.04.2010: Easter Sunday

On Easter, Vince had a duet at church. So the WHOLE GANG made it up to Cave Creek to attend Easter service and watch Vince sing. We had a big group there...Brent, Alisa & kids...Christina & Justice...Glenn & Jann....Eric, Karissa & the girls...Vince's mom....and Vince, Drake & I. The kids all looked their Sunday best and did great during the whole service. Andrew was even up dancing for some of it. After the first service (8am), we all went back to our house...Vince had to stay and sing for 2 more service's....so we went back and started our mimosa morning. We had a nice little brunch & a few drinks.

The kids all swam a little later in the afternoon since it was a gorgeous day....then after the masses left, Drake and Justice crashed on the couch. Long day!! But wonderful!! :)

04.03.2010: Easter Lunch with the Hearns

On Sat, the day before Easter, the Hearns all gathered at Jan & Glenn's house for a little afternoon lunch. This would be the last gathering at their home, since they bought a new house & are moving in a few days. So, we got to enjoy the home one last time! It was a gorgeous day outside, which transfered through the house too. Took lots of pics....and enjoyed each others company for the afternoon!
