04.18.2009: Soul Food Night

So, one of Alisa & my New Years Resolution was going to be to have "Theme Dinners" at least once a month. Our goal was to do 2 a month...one at our house, one at hers. However, we have been failing miserably at keeping it!!!!! We have done a few though, so at least we are trying! :)

This "Theme Dinner" was Soul Food night! At our house, of course :) The menu consisted of Southern Fried Chicken (Vince's new special recipe!!), my favorite Green Chili Mac & Cheese, Garlic Biscuits, Watermelon, and KoolAid. YYYYUUUUMMMMO!!!!! We were supposed to have some greens too, but it had been a long day by the pool and they didn't make themselves while we were out there!! Haha!! Oh well! Brent couldn't make this dinner....hmmmmm...musta been on a diet??? Or just working! :)

Started the day out swimming w/ all the kids...then moved inside for some good grub! Always a good time!


Hopefully we will try to be more consistent with our "theme nights"!!
