09.15.2018: Pre-Game Lounging

It was a lazy morning around the house today.  We watched toons, drank some coffee on the porch, took silly selfies, and played w the pup.

 

09.14.2018: Friday Night Lights

Dripping Springs HS had a football game tonight and Brent had to work in the AV booth to make sure it all went well.  We all headed to the game to hang out in the booth and watch some high school football.  We got to hang out up there - where we got a catered dinner - and able to watch from the enclosed viewing areas! It was pouring outside so we were happy to be inside!

09.13.2018: Social D in Austin TX

Headed to Texas to go see Social D with Brent & Alisa!  We were excited for this concert and had been planning it for a while! The concert was at Stubbs in downtown Austin so we went early for some drinks and dinner across the street. Although we decided we were probably too old for these concerts like this now, we still had a good time.  And no we didn't jump in the mosh pit!

09.09.2018: Willow Beach Layover

We weren't in a rush to get home today so we decided to take a quick detour down to Willow Beach.  We have always wanted to drive down here but never have time or the energy after a weekend in Vegas.  This is at the bottom of Hoover Dam where you can launch your boat, explore caves in kayaks, take a tour boat up to the bottom of the dam for a new view.  All looks super cool & we would LOVE to do it someday!  It wasn't very crowded at all either.  There was a little marina down there with a café attached. We had some lunch and enjoyed the views for a while before hitting the road back to Phx!

09.08.2018: Journey & Def Leppard with the JBJ-ers

Rested up, dressed up and ready for our limo over to T-Mobile for our concert! Never a dull moment in Vegas, and tonight is no different! We got in our limo ready to go and Floyd Mayweather and his entourage were blocking the entire driveway and entrance/exit from Caesars! He sure doesn't travel light!

We were finally on our way and didn't have time to go by the Vegas sign to get our group pics -- so headed straight to the arena.  Journey & Def Leppard put on an amazing show, as always!!  SO much fun!  We stood, and danced and sang the entire time!

09.08.2018: VIP Cabana Day & Unicorns

We were all waking up slowly this morning and dragging ourselves out to the pool for our VIP cabana day! Took a little while to get back in the game, but don't worry, we did! We spent the day hanging out in our private pool, enjoying poolside drink & food service, and catching up with everyone on life's latest. And before we left to get ready for our concert, we had to get a few pics with the resident unicorn!!  This is how you do a day at the pool in Vegas!

09.07.2018: Vegas Bound with the JBJ Crew

Heading to Vegas for a weekend with the JBJ Crew!!!  Super excited to get together with this gang again, as we ALWAYS have a memorable time! Tomorrow we are going to see Journey & Def Leppard playing together. Perfect excuse for a little reunion of this fun people.  Mom & Dad organized it all of course and we are all converging today from all over the west.

Tonight we are "taking it easy" and just hanging out, gambling, and drinking a little. Gambling turned into Mom also winning a ton of money - like a $9,000 jackpot on a slot machine!!  Great way to start the weekend!

We ended up at Bally's to see Emelda and get our $75 scotch shots...for free.  Yes, that is right, that's what we get from our favorite drink hostess that knows us, remember us, and brings us drinks all night! 

Just sitting here waiting for her $9,000 payout!

09.02.2018: Thelma's 86th Birthday

Thelma turns 86 yrs old today so some of the Hearns all got together to celebrate! Glenn & Jan had a little gathering at their house for lunch and cake.  Always fun when this crew gets together! Of course we had to FaceTime Greg so he could watch her open presents as well!
