While we were waiting for the rest of the crew to show up at the house, Kenny, Kelsea, Vince and I went across the street to the Wilson Creek Winery to do some wine tasting. The manor people gave us like 100 free tasting coupons, that are basically unlimited tastings. We HAD to go use some!
Always so good to drink wine with these two....and of course we made some other friends too. Who doesn't though at these places! We met one of the Wilson kids .. who is like our age and talked to him a bit .. and met some wine club members who were there picking up their bottles. They asked the bartender for their special tasting...and she went in the back & came out with some glasses of some secret stuff. So, of course we asked how we can get some of that. So, she took us to the back room and gave us each a tasting out of the barrel. It was a port tho, and we aren't really big dessert wine people, so didn't necessarily love it. However, we felt pretty special because we got the VIP treatment and had everyone else staring at us wondering who we were to get back there. We soaked it up, as always!
On the way back to the car to drive across the street back to the manor, Kenny found a big floppy hat on the ground in the parking lot....and confiscated it. He wore it the rest of the day. I would say it suited him well!
