I'm not sure what the # is, but for lots & lots of years, I go visit my friend Juan for my birthday dinner. Vince and I have made this a tradition every year, no matter where we might be on my actual birthday, we get in a birthday dinner with Juan! Usually Brian & Thereisa come with us as well. Love our little tradition! We have found many great dining places over the years, some better than Houston's….but for my birthday, no ones throws a bday dinner like Juan!! :)

10.28.2018: JFK Dallas History
We had a few hours to spare before our flight so we went to downtown Dallas to drive around. We decided the best thing to do in all of Dallas would be to go to the book depository where JFK was assassinated. Of course it is a museum now and a popular tourist spot. The tour through mostly consisted of pictures, videos and stories of JFK's life and presidency. That alone was really cool - but when you get to the spot where Lee Harvey Oswald stood and fired the shot that killed the president. So much history here - not good history - but history. Glad we went - it was very interesting!

10.27.2018: ATA Conventioning
The past 2 days have gone by like a complete blur! This was probably one of the busiest conventions we have ever been to and worked. Partially because most everyone there understood what Wamore sells and was familiar with it....so had a million questions about it and the future of the industry. We had 2 very long days trapped in the Gaylord!
Tonight was the final dinner & banquet. It was fun going and meeting a lot of new people - mostly active duty Air Force. Lots of fun - lots of work!! Time to go home!

10.25.2018: Dallas to Austin to Dallas
Yesterday, Vince and I flew into Dallas for the ATA Conference at the Gaylord Hotel & Convention Center. We landed in the morning, and headed over to the convention center to get everything all setup. I was planning to drive down to Austin for the night, since I couldn't be this close and not go visit! It was "only a couple hours away". So I started my trek down the 35, planning to be there in time for dinner. The plan was to surprise the kiddos! Well, it started raining....like pouring! I couldn't see almost anything in front of me. It was the slowest, longest ride ever! It took almost 6 hours to get to Brent & Alisa's house from Dallas. It was nuts. Eventually got there, had dinner with them, went to bed, then had to drive back to Dallas! Did breakfast with the kiddos and hung out for a bit, then hit the road. It was raining again so didn't want to be gone all day and work up to another 6 hour trip up. So glad I got to see them, even if it was for a short trip!

10.16.2018: Lunching with the Little Bro
Kenny finally woke up after his long night of work, so we headed up to Oro Valley. It was cool pulling into his community and seeing his patrol car in the driveway. He is about to get a brand new Tahoe, but it hadn't come in yet. So, he has the cruiser for a while. We went across the street, not too far, to the Dove Mountain Brewery. Such good food, and beer too...and literally right down/across the street. It was fun hanging out and catching up. And we got to see K&K's new house for the first time too. Super cute place!
10.16.2018: Hiking in Ventana Canyon
This morning we planned to go meet up with Kenny for lunch when he woke up. He worked last night so he was sleeping in. We decided to check out of the hotel and buy our time by hiking around Ventana Canyon. The rains from the previous day were still running off so there was a ton of water on the washes along the trail. It made for a gorgeous hike!! We weren't really in hiking clothes since we didn't plan on it...so we only went about 2 miles out. My boots were done by then! It was fun though and cool for most of the morning.

10.15.2018: Tucson Overnighter
Vince had a trade show down at David Monthan this week so we decided to head down for the night. It was pouring rain our whole way down, and on our way to dinner. We had to go to our fav spot - Mama Louisa's. Mama's never disappoints!!

10.04.2018: Drake Football vs Mountain Ridge
Tonight Drake had a JV game against Mountain Ridge from Glendale. It was a home game and Mom & Dad came up for the evening to watch it. Drake played on all the special teams plays as well as the 2nd half on defense. He is getting better and better each game - much more field & position awareness than he has ever had. It's a slow process because we want to see him on the field the entire game, but he is constantly learning. He had some amazing tackles in this game tonight!
On one kickoff, he plowed right over a guy, then hurdled him, then went after the kid with the ball on the entirely opposite side of the field...and tackled him. It was awesome! Love the progress and intensity he is displaying!!
